Maglev vertical axis wind turbine for low-wind sites
A magnetic-levitation vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT) built for homes, farms and off-grid cabins where wind is light and inconsistent. The maglev bearing removes most mechanical friction, so the rotor begins turning at around 1.3 m/s — far below the 3–4 m/s cut-in of a typical horizontal turbine. Available in 1000W, 2000W and 3000W, at 12V, 24V or 48V.
Why choose a maglev VAWT
- Starts in light wind — 1.3 m/s cut-in, useful in suburban and inland sites where horizontal turbines stay idle.
- Omnidirectional — no tail vane, no yawing. It captures gusts from any direction, which matters near buildings and trees.
- Quiet and low vibration — frictionless suspension and 3 glass-fibre blades keep noise well below a horizontal rotor of the same output.
- Compact footprint — vertical geometry suits rooftops, boats, telecom masts and plaza lighting.
- Survives storms — rated safe up to 40 m/s with electromagnetic braking through the controller.

Which configuration should you order
- 1000W — lighting, fridge, router and small loads in a cabin or boat.
- 2000W — a family home with moderate consumption, usually paired with solar.
- 3000W — larger off-grid homes, farm pumps and workshop tools.
Choose voltage to match your battery bank: 12V for very small systems, 24V for cabins and RVs, 48V for whole-home installations because it cuts cable losses on long runs.
With controller ships with the matched MPPT hybrid charge controller. Off-grid system adds the inverter and accessories needed to run AC loads.

Frequently asked questions
How much wind do I actually need?
The rotor starts at 1.3 m/s, but meaningful energy production begins around 4 m/s and rated output is reached near 12 m/s. Check your site's annual average wind speed before sizing; height matters more than most buyers expect.
Is a vertical turbine better than a horizontal one?
For turbulent, low-wind and space-limited sites, yes. A VAWT accepts wind from any direction and does not need to yaw. On an open, consistently windy site with a tall mast, a horizontal turbine will usually produce more annual energy at the same rating.
Can I combine it with solar panels?
Yes. The MPPT hybrid controller accepts a solar input alongside the turbine, which is the most reliable way to cover both windy winters and sunny summers from one battery bank.
How loud is it?
The maglev suspension and curved blades keep it quiet enough for residential rooftops. It is noticeably quieter than a 3-blade horizontal turbine of the same rating, though no turbine is silent in strong wind.
Do you provide installation?
No. We supply the hardware, manual and wiring diagram. A mast or tower is not included, and we recommend a certified electrician for the final connection to your loads or grid.
Which battery bank should I use?
Standard lead-acid, AGM, gel and LiFePO4 banks at 12V, 24V or 48V all work. Size the bank to your daily consumption, not to the turbine rating.
What happens in a storm?
The unit is rated to 40 m/s. The controller applies electromagnetic braking above the safe operating range to protect the generator.
How long does shipping take?
5 to 15 business days with tracking, from partner warehouses in North America, Europe and Asia.
