What is a tethered EV charger?
A tethered charger has the charging cable permanently attached to the wall unit. An untethered charger has only a socket, and you supply your own cable.
Will it fit my Audi, Mercedes-Benz or Smart?
Yes. It uses the Type 2 IEC 62196-2 connector, which is the standard inlet on European-market Audi, Mercedes-Benz and Smart electric and plug-in hybrid models, and on virtually every other EV sold in Europe.
Can I run it on a normal single-phase home supply?
This unit is specified for three-phase AC input. If your property is single-phase, choose a 7kW single-phase charge point instead. Confirm your supply with your electrician before ordering.
How fast will it charge my car?
Up to the lower of 22kW and your car's onboard AC charger limit. Many EVs cap AC charging at 7.4kW or 11kW.
What cable length should I choose?
Measure from the intended wall position to your car's charge port with the car parked as it normally would be, then add roughly one metre of slack. Options run from 2 to 6 metres.
Can it be mounted outdoors?
Yes, it is designed as a wall-mounted unit for residential and light commercial use.
Do you provide installation?
No. We supply hardware only; installation is carried out by your own qualified electrician.
