Frequently asked questions

What is a coreless generator and why does it matter?

A coreless stator has no iron teeth, so there is no cogging torque resisting the first rotation. In practice the turbine starts in lighter wind and runs more smoothly at low RPM, which is exactly where small residential sites live.

Can I mount this on my roof?

Vertical turbines are commonly roof-mounted because they are short and omnidirectional, but the roof structure must carry both the static weight and the vibration. Have the mounting point checked by a builder, and use a mast that isolates vibration from the building.

How much energy will 1000W actually produce?

Rated power is peak, not average. At a site averaging 5 m/s, expect a fraction of the nameplate figure over a full day. Anyone promising nameplate output around the clock is not describing real wind.

Does it work with a 96V system?

Selected variants support 96V. Choose the voltage variant that matches your battery bank or inverter input before ordering, as the generator winding is configured for it.

Can I add solar later?

Yes. The MPPT boost hybrid controller has a solar input, 200W by default and up to 1000W optional, so you can start with wind and add panels afterwards.

Do you install it?

No. We supply the hardware, manual and wiring diagram. A certified electrician should handle the final electrical connection.

What is the warranty?
