Field use notes
Using the kickstand to aim the panel at the sun gains around 25% over laying it flat, and moving it once or twice during the day is the cheapest performance upgrade available. The case is water-resistant Oxford cloth, but the junction box is not waterproof and must stay dry. Partial shade over even one cell string cuts output sharply, so keep the whole surface clear.

Is the controller suitable for lithium batteries?
The supplied 20 A PWM controller is designed for 12/24 V lead-acid batteries. For LiFePO4, use an MPPT controller with a lithium charge profile.
Can I plug it straight into a power station?
Yes, if the station accepts 18-22 V DC within its input current limit. In that case connect the panel to the station directly and leave the PWM controller out of the circuit.
Is it waterproof?
The fabric case and panel surface are water-resistant for outdoor use, but the junction box is not waterproof and should be kept dry.
Can I test the panel with the controller?
No. Use a multimeter for an open-circuit test in good light; the controller is not a measurement device.
How large is it when folded?
